For the Japanese, fishing is a way of life and quality directly relates to their ability to make a living fishing. Now why wouldn't you want that same quality to be a part of your fishing experience? Or would you rather have the cheap American (Chinese) excessively leisured version?
They do things better than we do, it would be autistic and dishonest to argue otherwise.
