I bought my used Postie from a licenced motorcycle dealer (look around-- people trade them in, or some dealers get auction bikes direct). It was $1900 in 2010- with about $250 on top of that for rego & CTP. 2 months and 3 weeks later, I got a replacement stator under warranty...
Fresh auction bikes usually come out at around $1100-$1400. I'd probably say $800-$1000 for an unregistered bike that's been used a bit-- check Gumtree.
