I finished my Tour du Mont Blanc one week ago. On my way from Champex-Lac to les Ecuries de Charamillon, I overheated something fierce while climbing Col de Balme.
My shirt was completely drenched in sweat (Columbia Zero Rules) . I tried slowing down but nope, my shirt wouldn't dry at all. In the end, I had to remove it, take a break and let both the shirt and my body dry.
The thing I want to know is how to avoid that kind of problem in the future because I would have been able to go on if not for that overheating issue (not to mention, I couldn't wash the shirt for the last 2 days of the tour and it quickly lost its ability to wick sweat away).
