>>2216713I've been enjoying the hell out of Kuhl Siilencr pants for general purpose beater use. I've never been big on stretchy material but these things are converting me slowly. Beyond's K5 Makers pants have been great as a beater layer as well. For rain pants I've always had great luck with Arcteryx and ORC Industries. REI is currently offering heavy discounts on some Arc rain pants (still expensive). Caught a pair of REI's store-branded goretex rain pants for a stupid good deal and they have done great in ~12 miles worth of steady rain. We'll see how those things hold up long term.
