Tomato sprout anon

I decided to go both routes and try to maximize my chances of getting a plant by both removing some seedlings and putting them in soil directly, as well as trying to put the whole tomato+sprout into the soil.
It was a challenge trying to remove the seedlings without destroying them, given their roots had tangled up pretty severely. For that reason I didn't even attempt to remove any seedlings from the side where the sprout was protruding. I also used a knife to sever the stalks of all the other sprouts on that side which were pressing against the skin, to kill the best sprout's competition.
In the end, I got 5 small pots with 1 or 2 sprouted seedlings in them, 1 pot in which I just planted a chunk of the tomato with like 10 seedlings embedded in it, and a large pot in which I put the remainder of the tomato. I packed the voids in it left by the sprout removal with soil, and pierced the skin full of small holes so that the roots could get through it, if the sprout got that far.
The sprout in the tomato definitely looks the best out of all of them, so far. Most of the ones from inside the tomato have disproportionately thick stalks/thin heads, and are quite long.
