After a few months tracking the boar, which of course he found as he was the one who put then there, he found evidence that the boar had settled into the environment. He later provided evidence that new hoglets had been born to the escaped boar. This led to the robbers getting charged with some crazy crime of endangering public environment or something and getting a harsh sentence. Those involved have utilised this one opportunity to rewild boar into several places across the UK and Dr Jones is also on court record claiming "this is connected woodland right across the UK so the boar could be anywhere". This pretty much gives anyone involved opportunity to release boar right across the west and south west of the UK without fear of reprisals, unless they get caught red handed. That single event can have any sighting of wild boar attributed to it.
