He made a deal with the farmer to tell the authorities that he had lost 40 boar from the pen, he'd be able to claim the cost of them under the insurance and Dr Jones would corroborate that the boar indeed had gotten out. He then released breeding pairs of boar, which were being reared on a farm owned by someone he knew, into the local Afan forest as well as in the Cotswolds, the Brecon Beacons and the Forest of Dean. About 100 boar were released over the next few weeks. He then offered the Welsh CPS to "attempt to track the boar to see if they had gotten into local forests" so they could hand out a sterner prosecution to these robbery blokes, who had now been caught.
