Picked just over 4 pounds (2.2kg) of wild black cherries over the course of several days last week and made jam on Thursday. This is probably the most black cherries I've ever seen in my life, and it all came off one tree that was just loaded down with fruit.

>>1804248Goddamn I am jealous of that. Black raspberries are the best bramble in my opinion, though I'm sure there's plenty out there I haven't tried given how diverse the genus is. Too hot/humid in central NC for those to grow, I think. I know my dad tried to grow some when I was a kid but it didn't work out for one reason or another.
