I used to drive around the New England countryside a lot just to unwind and I would notice certain trees in various towns and yards that look absolutely beautiful at various times of year. I always wished I knew enough about trees to plan a yard/landscaping so that every week of the year one type of tree or another was colorful or in bloom or doing something cool. Even in winter with firethorn and winterberry holly and such.
Sadly, of all the cool shit I saw throughout the year I never learned what any of it was.
Anyway, I like any tree that makes colorful berries during winter. It's comfy somehow.
