most people I know just go cross-country skiing or ski-mountaineering nowadays, since thats pretty much for free
honestly, I believe we should drop compulsory ski-weeks in school, the skiing industry is destructive enough already as it is and most parents cant afford it anymore anyway
I'd rather have more focus on hiking and learning native flora and fauna and geology
it would be nice crossover of biology, geography and physical education
but no, better pump money into fucking skiing molochs that make any other use of the mountains impossible and create fucking ghosttowns in the summer
