I find it difficult to get /out/ these days but I've managed to find a lovely little spot about a mile and a half along the coast from where I live. It's not so good in the winter but from late spring all through the summer and into early Autumn it's great, I stayed out here for pretty much a week straight last year. The tide recedes near half a mile out over firm sand so I had a net out for mullet on the flats and even managed to get a couple of sea bass beach casting. Comfiest /out/ I've had in years

I spent most of the days lounging around carving spoons or scouting out dead fall and driftwood for fires in the evening. A couple of times my wife turned up to check in on me (I have issues getting around so she worries) and drop in some steaks but other than that it was undisturbed :)

I've not been out for years in mine, but I dusted off the old DD last week and I've realised that I've *just* got back into the ok weight range for my Hennessy Explorer too.

I had a hell of a good time out fishing from the shore, lounging around and whittling a couple of spoons.

I can see this becoming a regular thing as the weather here allows
