Anyone working from home, making money with their homestead?
If I don't make 10k a year with it, within 2-3 years, my parents will sell the property.
I have a vegetable garden for myself, and chickens.
I'm having a hard time finding buyers that I can grow for/sell to. There's a restaurant that would accept beef. I grew two pigs which was an ordeal feeding and getting butchered. I could do one cow, a bit afraid with food costs. Just feeding myself keeps me occupied, worrying about heavy feeders is a bit much. Tips on self sufficient forgage?
The same restaurant would accept grapes, a lot of it. I only have enough space and time for one or the other. And that's a 2 year commitment before you see any income which is cutting it way too close.
The default plan is a self pick strawberry field, and blackberries, which will get visitors. But enough?
Fyi: savings on groceries counts towards the 10k.
What I really need is some stories of successful anons.
