the energy input does not change, just the distribution. the habitable band will narrow, more importantly the farmable land will narrow. weather will be more extreme stronger/longer heatwave, stronger tropical storms, stronger blizzards etc.
and we are not entering an ice age... we are leaving one. we are at the tail end of the Quaternary glaciation period. a 2.6 million year cycle. This means, with the other things combined, the Last Glacial Maximum was only approximately 22,000 years ago. Permafrost was below Paris and glaciers in norther Germany.
