>>2194800If you're younger than 35, join the Air Force. Pick a job like jet engine repair or something to do with PC networking. You can leave after 6 years of training (with jet engines) and make $88K average in the US. Or, if you go the Networking route, a civilian network administrator job is $78K.
Or, if you're pretty smart and have a clean record (i.e. no arrests), go into Geospatial Intelligence. Get a TS/SCI security clearance. Work for about 6 years and get out. Then work for any number of defense contractors for $100-120K per year analyzing satellite imagery. The clearance and knowledge of databases and software used is why they pay so much.
Enlisted life in the Air Force is like living in a Ramada Inn that requires you to wear a uniform. The Air Force's standard of living is so high that if you attend say, US Army Airborne School, you received "Substandard Housing Pay" every week due to being forced to live in Army barracks.
You're welcome for me saving your life.
