Went up mt washington with the dog last weekend. Truly felt awful because I 100% over-estimated her ability. Had to take turns with my wife carrying her down the mountain because she was so tired and busted up. Happily she's back to her old self now. I knew I had done something stupid when I noticed a complete and utter lack of dogs anywhere on the mountain except when we summited and ran into all the people who drove up instead. I guess my dog can count herself in the list of what I'm sure is only a couple hundred that have actually hiked up and down that mountain.
