I'm thinking of taking my phone on a 5 day walk. It's an easy enough route, never too far from some civilisation (only so remote you can get in crammed England), so I was hoping to use the OS maps I've got pirated. Worst case scenario it doesn't work and I have to head to a nearby road and follow road signs to the nearest village where I could buy a map. I'd need to buy something like 3 or 4 different 1:25k maps to cover the entire route though, and that's pretty expensive. So phone is an option I'm considering (another is printing and laminating a shitton of A4 sheets, but this takes ink (lots) and time (more)).
So, does anyone got experience with solar chargers? Are they worth it? Could you recommend a good one?
There's a couple on Amazon for about £30-40. With a 10,000mAh battery built in, that's enough for a few charges even without solar power.
