We've previously done this sort of thing on a cliff in a foresty park over-looking Poughkeepsie. The park itself had been closed but there were these ruins there and the hudson and city below us was amazing. I found it basically by picking the green spots along the train lines on google maps. If anyones done something like that, i'd really like to know about it.
