>>2077077Not really a fan of gut hooks but the knife at least has a decent belly on it so it'll be useable as a skinner, don't be surprised if you're tempted to take a dremel to it later and remove the gut hook. You're better off just putting your finger under the tip of the caping knife and doing it that way. The blade shape of the caping knife is good, it's pretty similar to my KOA Cub bear caping knife in D2.
The steel on those is likely stainless and sure won't hold an edge as long but they're also waaaay cheaper and easier to sharpen if you let them get dull, (protip: don't let them go dull) You're getting a 3 piece set for less than half the price of my one knife, so it's not a bad deal.
Just get them apexed properly with a mid-coarse grit so they're toothy and then strop them and you'll get better edge retention and slicing from them.
