i carry a backpack everyday for work (trainman) and for remote areas to throw onto a 4 wheeler trailer or snowmachine sled very regularly. I'm looking for an upgrade since I end up destroying my bag and often spill its contents on an annual basis.
would like a durable backpack with
>35-45 liter capacity
>no dangly bits like zippers to catch on narrow doors and hinges
>some sort of compartmentalization for bulky winter clothes, electronics, hygiene, and specialized tools
>preferably a compartment for rulebooks, paperwork, and sometimes laptop
>ability to strap snowshoes, skis, long guns, handguns, or various other things to exterior
>ability to carry 25ish pounds somewhat comfortably
currently it looks like a jaakari m with side pouches is my best option since i can remove the pouches when I don't need the extra space
I already have dedicated backpacking packs so I'm not looking for anything like that. budget is whatever it takes, does anyone have recs or personal experience with what I'm looking for?
