>>2184155Arc'Teryx offers made in Canada quality for a lot of their garments in addition to full seam taping and the use of superior iterations of Gore-Tex.
When you buy a ~$200 Gore-Tex jacket from a lesser brand, you will be buying a lesser iteration of Gore-Tex that does not offer the same level of waterproofing as the Arc'Teryx Gore-Tex.
However, keep in mind that in order for a company to use Gore-Tex fabric in the construction of their garments, they must still go through the same testing processes and proofing as every other brand. Gore Products doesn't allow anyone to sell products with their fabrics unless they meet their testing criteria, so basically all GT garments are made equal, it's just construction quality and design that you are paying for.
That being said, my Arc'Teryx LEAF garments far surpass anything else I own or have ever owned in terms of quality and utility.
