Ive been in scouting since i was 8, currently working in leadership at a well known BSA high adventure camp, am faggot.
Assuming the kid themselves wants to join scouting, they arent the problem. Gay kids like the woods too, and girls joing so they can actually go camping instead of dealing with all the "future woman development" shit the GSA preach.
Parents are the issue in scouting, damn near every time. If a gay kid doesn't know how to stick up for themselves in scouting, there isnt a better environment to learn in. Character growth means being able to take a few lumps and get back up. Being a faggot isnt special, its literally irrelevent to the actual development scouts can nurture.
Oh, and i worked Backcountry at Philmont for 6 summers, and a few seasons at Northern Tier (both summer and winter) so i have shit tons of stories
