>>2303957Are you wanting no drop? Belleville mini mil is pretty much the standard for value, durability, ergonomics. Not very waterproof. Suede has vents. Black doesn't but has some plastic finish on exterior (I apply conditioner internally, because outside doesn't). Only thing I don't like with these is the lace design. If you go big and wide the laces need a foot lift (insole) to tighten them. Also all the quick laces make it hard to snug. For being a jungle boot, I wish it was 6 inches also the upper nylon is useless except abrasion.
Barefoot shoe market has too many niche products without a standard thus far. Freet taiga is good. Great leather, great foot shape. Outsole isn't super durable like lems. Vivobarefoot is also good. Maybe the esc as they use Michelin soles and the sides are sewn as they have had issues with sole desalination.
With all these though, you can make them water resistant but not proof, then remove insoles, replace socks to have a quicker drying out afterward. With some jungle boots like the suede mini mils it isn't so bad with wool socks to get them wet as they don't take too long to dry out in moderate temps.
