I learned a lot from just being in the woods alone until my mom let me back in, sometimes I was locked out for days. I eventually got a bright idea to make a shelter or "fort" in the woods for the colder or rainier nights. This shit when on until I was old enough to just live in the woods most of the time, mainly to keep away from my mom's deadbeat boyfriend. I was isolated for such a long time I had no social skills and only felt safe alone in the woods. I was the creepy quiet kid in school that always wore a size to big camo jacket but got decent grades so the teachers ignored me. Went to a community college for free and now I work in a state park, still have no social skills and barely speak to my coworkers.
But ya do what good old mom did and your kid will end up just like me. Sad and alone but at least he likes nature.
