Regarding pissing in a plastic bag: as someone who has had to do 3 AM pisses in well below freezing temps many many times, if you are a man I highly recommend you do not use a fucking bag (!), unless it is all you have. If you are a woman, I'm not exactly sure how you can do it, even with a GoGirl thing.
The goal is to not leave your sleeping kit and compromise precious life-sustaining warmth, and the ol' lean on the side, angle the bottle and hope you don't piss all over yourself and your kit is an artform that takes many tries to master. Once I thought my dick was in the bottle but the motherfucker was pressed against the inner side and the pressure shot a short spray of hot piss in my face. One of the most demoralizing experiences in my life.
