>>1246983>tfw you're a fan of outdoor sports your whole life and finally go visit some Pro level events and realize the entire competition is just rich kids who grew up at ski resorts entertaining themselves, who have gotten good bc they've never had jobs or a life to deal with, and the entire sport is just selling lifestyle brands to other impressionable middle class kids who will never compete on that level bc even if they work enough hours at some shitty job to afford decent gear, they won't have spent that time training, and certainly won't have $ left to globe trot to enough races to gain enough points to amount to anything.Competitive sports are actually just rich kids killing time & trading places each weekend in meaningless competition of who is faster/higher/smoother on any given afternoon, when it'll just be another one next weekend.
