Is euro nymphing a meme? I have done a lot of it and caught a lot of fishing doing it but I find that you need a very specific water type to make it effective. When you aren’t fishing a fast moving section of water I find it to be a lot less successful. The biggest problem is wading close enough to get a good drift, if you have a deep pool without much surface disturbance forget it. I have been fishing bigger rivers like the Farmington more often and find myself bringing my 6 weight more often to sling heavier indictor rigs than my euro rod. Tying for euronymphing is also a pain since you need to tie the same fly in 3 different weights for your anchor.
