>>668426The bag is total overkill for most folks and I could honestly get by with a bag like yours. The biggest selling point to me at the time was the base on it. I'll fish in a total downpour. From shore it keeps the bag out of the mud and in the little jon boat with no bilge pump it keeps it up out of the water. It also didn't hurt that it was about the same price as what a bag like yours goes for at any Wal-Mart or BPS. Since then it has pretty much doubled in price.
You're also correct in that you lose a lot of division but I think I'm ultimately getting more organization and maximizing my use of available space. Just as an example I could probably fit nearly all my poppers in a single 3700 by doubling up what goes into each divide. But I think I still end up with a lot of wasted vertical space since most of my lure aren't that fat/tall and won't fill any given divide in a standard depth box. The slim boxes fill out nicely and the only issue I've run into so far was with two fat deep divers that couldn't be made to fit into a slim box.
As for Worm Bags/Speed Bags I couldn't agree more. None of them have impressed me much for what they cost. I've been using a cheap electrician's toolbag that has the same style zippered top (medicine bag style) for my soft plastics. It's just the right size for 3600's although I just throw my ziplocked plastics in there without boxes. The only problem is digging through a bunch of identical looking packages trying to find the right soft-plastic when I want it. As mentioned above I did pick up a "Worm Folder" style pack that I'm going to try out but I can't offer any thoughts on it yet since I've only just started filling it.
