>>2658141I have quail. They do very well in confined spaces. For eggs you want 1 quail per square foot. For meat, 2-3/SqFt. If you raise them outdoors, your coop will need to be under a foot and a half or over 6 feet. Otherwise tehy'll jump and break their necks on the roof. Indoors they do well in 2x3x1 foot cages with egg roll out trays. I'm pasturing mine in a quail tractor. 4x4x1 I move it to a fresh patch of grass once a week. I've current;y got 5 hens and 1 male. But I have 46 eggs from those in the incubator now. They are in two batches of 23, one weeks worth of eggs, minus cracked or too small ones, in each incubator. The forst is sue to go into lockdown in 3 days.
