>>1251090i sit down for an evening and crank out leaders, then for storraige i cut a sheet of paper in half, label it with the leader information (say for example 2x 9 foot) and then tuck it in my bag
>pic related, one of my hard mono leaders i tied for striper (it was the nearest to me)also
>an hour>tying one leaderyou need to work on your knots. it shouldn't take more than 10 minutes for a leader and more like 5 when you get good and rolling on them
>perfection loopthat should be 20 seconds to tie, honestly
>3-5 blood knots depending on how autistic you are30 seconds for each of them realistically when you do the tooth pick trick
>flyliterally a minute to pick out a fly and tie it on

>>1252239some lines dont come with a welded loop and a lot of the tarpon guys i've met have said they dont trust factory welded loops and they either use the tried-and-true nail knot or make their own loop so they know exactly what went in to each loop (i also have met a few trout guys who broke welded loops on cheaper lines)
bottom line: some lines dont have loops and a lot of people dont trust the loops regardless
