I live in a geologically active area (earthquake, volcano) with single-points-of-failure in almost all infrastructure areas: water, power, transport and communication.
So I prep accordingly to survive a few weeks to months without outside assistance or mobility.
The biggest risk I run is being at work when something hits - It's 40km to home with few choices of route and a coastal choke point. Probably fucked in a high-risk office anyway, but even if not there's gonna be some hard travel to make it home afterward.
