thinking I might make a tarp/poncho, also thinking about making a sleeping bag with synthetic bottom and down top, maybe with groundsheet material on the back like a bivy- can't find a product like it but makes total sense me to- any feedback on why this wouldn't work or is a bad idea? only thing so far is disparity of good synthetic fill (Europe), best stuff is US, but guess importing synthetic fill wouldn't be too expensive...
