>>2426714>>2426722Wooden traps are easy, as they are mostly just netting. I cut the netting out of the trap and stash it in my boat for burning on shore. Wooden frame goes back to bottom to rot.
Wire traps are still pretty easy, I cut cut out the net entrance hoops along with the entrance to the parlor.
When done properly the gear should not be catching anything else. Of course, the wire on bottom isnt a good thing but I'd consider it to be the lesser of two evils. Wooden traps will decompose naturally.
