>>1980164>are there any sort of adjustments or tips you could provide to someone who might also be looking into this?>also when you mentioned fitting a bivvy into an assault pack what sort of pack did you mean? Not sure what you mean by adjustments, if you mean regarding the vest itself, I put my gas stove/firestarter/food/water filter in the buttpack, then for the pouches I use the grenade pouches as holders for my leatherman and headlamp, I put my water bottles (Smart Waters, because of volume and the ability to attach my Sawyer Squeeze onto it) and lastly I have my Medkit (BearFac) and Mora Knife on attached on my belt.
For my backpack I use a compressed 60l Raid Attack III bag (I know its larp but It works well and is light) but I just put emergency shit and my MSS sleep system and my silky big boy on the side, along with extra water if needed.
Honestly as far as backpacks go you can use anything (30 liters+) as long as you can fit a bivy and a weather related sleeping bag (Winter or Summer, the MSS comes with both so I use whatever is needed or both depending on the weather) and also some sort of saw, Silky is the best.
