I'm not entirely sure how that works, but in any given month I may use 4chan from 6 different locations (assuming my university counts as 1) so I think that the tripcode may be inconsistent.

That being said, only once has anybody ever bothered to impersonate me. It actually prompted me to create a tripcode, but then they posted a screenshot of their own screen showing that they had impersonated me (pic related) so I reverted back to regular namefagging.
