>>1494857It's not just that their stepping on the plants, but that their stepping on unique soils that allow for these blooms to happen. The soil in these places are very soft and the poppies require that to even grow. Stepping off trail not only kills the plants but compacts the soil. At 1:24 in the video is a scar left from people stepping off trail from the last superbloom in 2017.
