Whereas the woodchips are scattered throughout my neighborhood within like 5 minutes walking distance. Basically I'm trying to become a free chip maxxy at the moment haha. Maybe if I make the chip and grain(and possibly wheat bran) mix it'll give the spawn bag a headstart since it'll have some wood in it, before adding to s patch of plain chips.
Besides the species of trees that the chips are made of, it also seems there's like different grades. In this one pile there's some that are darker brown, some that are greyish, and some that are yellowish. This got me wondering which grade would be best to either PC for spawnbags, to ferment as sub to expand on for s2b in a patch, and lastly which would be best for just making quick and dirty fermented chip spawn.
Have you ever made a woodchip and grain bag before for chip loving species? And if so how'd it go?
