>>2737924Yeah, almost every river and stream in WV is a clay bottom as far as I know. Unless you're out east where it's mostly rocky bottoms.
I'm also down stream of a dam holding up a massive reservoir, so there's always a constant stream of water spilling out the dam. It's all water from the bottom so it probably picks up a lot of particles to dump out. Maybe the headwaters are better but that's a bit of a drive. The Guyandotte is usually pretty good about not being chocolate milk but I haven't had time to drive out that way. East Lynn's watershed looks pretty clean too but that's an even further drive.
I just moved back up so I have to relearn all this. I didn't do much fishing when I lived here before.
