>>373654Well at least other fabrics are largely more affordable, which can be a good depending on how much you use it. I've always had many problems with those, because just wearing a backpack, the abrasion will get rid of the DWR rather quickly, and then proceed further until it starts leaking. I had four goretex shells already, all went into the trash.
So now I'd rather get something cheap that won't perform as well, though still well enough, and that won't cost me an arm. I've actually found one that seems pretty resistant to abrasion (Membrain by Marmot), I'll stick to it for now.
For something REALLY durable and waterproof, there's still no other choice than pic related.
