I have found 2 websites that include fly size/type what month is which hatch as well as when said "food" emerges (IE BWO fly emerges afternoon, use a Beadhead Pheasant for all day or other fly)
I will be speaking with the Park Rangers about fish holding streams/rivers but wanted to be as knowledgeable as possible. I would prefer to have more to go with than the Park Ranger recommended streams.
It seems that getting lost in the Smokies with maps would be very difficult, does anyone suggest a Personal Locator Beacon for this area? I would not think it is necessary since I have a map and compass; I might even bring a GPS to retrace my steps worst case.
