Hey, /out/. City slicker here, so pardon me if I break the rules.
Does /out/ have the equivalent to /fit/'s sticky when it comes to preparing for a SHTF scenario? If It helps, I'm talking about stuff relevant to temperate woodlands/mountains in the U.S. South.
Say shit went down and you needed a bug out bag for EDC/living innawoods. What are the top priorities as far as gear is concerned? What about boots/clothing?
On another note, are there any books that serve as a survival crash course for people who don't know the first thing about it? How do I know which authors know their shit?
Lastly, what are some simple, crucial skills I can start learning now?
Haven't been hunting since I was around six. I'm in decent shape as far as endurance, but I'd imagine there's a stark difference between a few hours of cardio and being out in the wild all day/night.
Thanks!
