Look at the ones who are bred and trained for it, I run dogs on a hilly sheep and cattle farm, they can run up and down the place at 20-30mph all day following the motorbike and heading up and down steep slopes to retrieve stock. Then they do it all again tomorrow. Could probably run rings around a wolf pack also, probably any animal on earth on this kind of terrain, even 4 minute mile runners or ultra marathon runners aren't going to beat them up and down hillsides all week, even a horse can't climb like them.
