Winter hiking is a whole different sport than summer hiking.
Walking in snowshoes and crampons is much slower than on dry rock. Also remember daylight hours are cut in half .
For me, 10 miles is a nice afternoon walk in the summer, but a long full day in winter.
If it's late summer or fall you can probably get away with the presidential traverse or half-presi traverse (there's plenty of bail-out routes on the way). But if you've never winter hiked before you should take on mount washington by itself .
