Especially since covid open plots are rarer but if you volunteer to weed you'll make friends fast and reap garden rewards on top of whatever you do at home.
And that's the best thing, is actual fresh produce. I realized some time ago the main reason a lot of people think real fruits and vegetables taste like shit is that they've never really tasted them. The taste of a tomato or a cucumber or berry freshly picked versus what you can buy in even the most expensive store or restaurant is incomparable. Choose what you love and with some work an ingenuity you can indulge in the best versions of whatever you love.
