The analytic is all about the objective elements of X (such as "it's just a guy going to a cabin"), then there is the synthetic way, where we take the analytic observations and give them subjective meanings. You are only looking at this analytically, yet missing the richness which can be found in then following it with a synthetic way of viewing.
