>>320163>Why are most fly fisherman holier than though cunts?While this is obviously an unfair generalization, I think that it makes sense to say that (at least where I live, in the South) fly fishermen are more of the conservationist type who really enjoy the outdoors and preserving it where the other fishermen (either the families on the shore throwing back beer and throwing their bobbers in the water or the two 40 something year olds on their big bass boat) tend to just be in it for the fish and eating them. For example, typically those families fishing leave beer cans, worm boxes, and shit loads of fishing line all over the shore. However (and obviously this is not true of all) fly fishermen tend to make a significantly less mess, if any at all, when they fish. And I will grant you that it's a bit elitist, but I think the best way to compare it is that it's like camping
fly fishing is to fishing what backpacking is to the camping world in my opinion
That being said, I love to fly fish, but now I just wait til I get back to school and I can fish in the mountain streams and have about a 4mile hike in to stay away from ole Bill Dance dropping his 250hp bass boat into the water.
