Ridiculous amount of spots to hit within 2 hours of Denver and as for people in this city being “outdoorsy”I mean, pretty much this. If you get /out/ enough, you learn quickly where the normie spots are and to avoid them. I can drive 45 minutes from Denver and find deserted camping.
Things that help are having a 4wd high clearance vehicle, and a mountain bike. This allows me to go deeper into the woods than most normies are willing to. I have a bunch of go-to spots within an hour of the city where I won't see another human all weekend. Feels good man.
You just have to not be a car-camping retard and you'll be fine.
