As an aside, I can't quite explain why, but personally this is in my opinion one of the most post-apocalyptic/urban decay things there is; a fence, once intended for land, that now goes through water. A fence around which a large and impassible (without getting wet) pool of water or other liquid has pooled over a long period of time, or where a stream or river has formed and now flows through it.
In a long winded way I supposed I'm saying: fence unintentionally in water.
