Buy some prestige plus floating saltwater, and replace the line that comes on the combo
Just use the backing that is on there
Then tie a leader like so
>40 pound line, perfection loop>30 pound line tied with a blood knot>20 pound line tied with a blood knotThen either tie on some tieable wire #20 with whatever knot or some #15 mono with an improved blood knot
Then buy a couple clouser minnows, some crab immitations, shrimp immitations, maybe a few Bob's bangers if you like top water
Learn to cast in an empty field, then once you're comfortable use a smaller lighter fly until you're comfortable, and work your way up to bigger flies as you're able
But don't use flies out of the water, I like to use a bit of yarn tied to the end of my line and a split shot or two to simulate a heavy fly
