Since it's May and the snow is gone in most other parts of the country, you should be able to snag really good deals on snowshoes off ebay or craigslist. That said if it's late season sticky snow and you're going on well-broken in trails you might not need snowshoes and be better with microspikes or crampons. But find some trip reports to find out what conditions are like for the trails you're planning to hit
