I'm headed to the NC Pawpaw festival tomorrow (24th), though apparently they didn't have the resources for a full festival or something this year so it's just a tour of the orchards with (hopefully) the ability to pick some if they're ripe. Would be the first time I've had one living 25 years in this state. I did find a small patch or 2 this year while out walking, but they didn't have any fruit. Also found a very small patch of Asimina parviflora (pic related), which I hope will have ripened and not been eaten by wild animals by the time I get out there this weekend to check.
